Inga Petersen
Executive Director

Inga Petersen is an experienced sustainability professional with over fifteen years’ expertise in natural resource management, governance and public-private partnerships. She started her career delivering technical assistance projects to enhance the development dividends of the mining sector. She worked directly with governments and donors, designing and managing extractive industries governance projects across Africa and Asia. This allowed her to witness the opportunities and challenges related to natural resource extraction first hand. She subsequently worked with global business leaders and policy makers at the World Economic Forum to lead the mining and metals sector’s transition to a sustainable world. Prior to joining the GBA as Executive Director, Inga acted as Senior Extractives Adviser to the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

Inga holds a Bachelor from the University of Bath, a Masters in International Relations & International Security from the Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po), Paris and an Executive Master in Global Leadership from the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Graham Lee
Head of Programme - Battery Passport

Graham Lee brings to the GBA over 14 years’ experience of sustainability and ESG in mineral supply chains. He has led responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence projects for some of the largest global automotive and technology companies, and has contributed to thought leadership on the future of mineral stewardship for the World Economic Forum and others. Graham is passionate about the societal challenge of scaling up critical mineral production and battery manufacturing to drive forward the clean energy transition, without creating further harm to people and planet.

Prior to setting out on his sustainability career, Graham served as a Captain in the British Army. Earlier, he trod a highly quantitative academic path, and he relishes the confluence of information technology and sustainability in the battery passport programme. Graham has two degrees in pure mathematics from Cambridge University in the UK, and specialised in the study of infinities. However, he still uses his desktop calculator to add up numbers larger than 20.
